I got a call from an old friend about a month or so ago and she said, "I'm getting married!", I said " To who?" to which she replied "Ryan" and like an idiot I said "Ryan who?"
She was talking about Mr. Ryan Widdison, crazy surfer Ryan Widdison that has had a MAJOR crush on Jenna since he and Devin walked us home from chem lab on the first day of college. The same Ryan Widdison that Jenna swore up and down that she would NEVER date. Naturally I almost dropped the phone and peed my pants laughing. I decided that I would have to come to this unlikely union of two adored friends. And so began my journey back to Idaho.
THE WEDDING
It was beautiful and I got to see some friends that I had not seen in a very long time. I wish you both the best in life and love.
THE FUNERAL
We had an unexpected loss the week that I was in Idaho. April died. The funeral was amazing. Christina sang like the little angel she is, with April's daughter Ashlyn. I bawled through the entire thing. All of my heart goes to her family and I swear that if Shaun makes me fulfill the promise from ninth grade anytime soon I will bring him back just so that I can kill him myself.
THE BAPTISM
We dropped Mary and Dianne off at EFY and on the way home we stopped by Monica's house. My mom had never been there and when we pulled into the driveway we see a little girl with wild crazy curly hair, a yellow swimsuit (bum hanging out), and white sandals jumping up and down on the roof of the car already parked there. My mom looked at me with the "are you sure we are at the right place?" look and I just smiled and nodded. While we were there Grace punched my mom in the face, Mary kicked her, and all I got was the traditional mauling. We found out that Clip was getting baptised the following Monday and we agreed to come back for some more bruises.
Brent's parent's and some other relatives came to the baptism in Utah. It was fun to see them all, but I have to admit that my favorite part was the snowcones! I love them, it's an addiction, I can't help it. Mary, Dianne and my Mom were my posse for the day. We had a blast and met some really nice people (mostly kids under the age of 8). Apparently Mary, Dianne and I all look like toys. We were jumped on squeezed to death (Allie) and pulled around by some of the cutest kids I have ever seen.
