I'm .....

For those of you who know me well, you know that there is a common english phrase which I rarely utter "I'm sorry". I don't like it because I feel that it does not accurately describe the feelings of regret, remorse, or annoyance at the situation. Most people just say it to get out of a tight place. For example my mom loves to make her children say that they are sorry to each other for some wrong that has been committed. We always uttered the fateful phrase but rarely, if ever did we mean it. We all knew that the only way to get mom off your back was to say sorry. I hit you, I'm sorry. I stole you clothes, I'm sorry. I told all of my friends and yours that you peed you bed, I'm sorry. Quite frankly I don't think that sorry cuts the mustard in most situations, but in this particular one I think that it just might do it. I am sorry for not updating my blog recently and leaving all of my "faithful" readers waiting for more.

Life has been crazy busy lately. Brent and I are both going to school, unfortunately we are going to different ones. He just started at ISU in the engineering program and really likes it and I am still at "no flip-flops University"...you guessed it BYU-I. On the plus side I am almost finished and then I just have to find a job, get my MBA, and then find another job! Looking forward to that.

We haven't really done anything out of the ordinary lately, just shooting, rock crawling, homework, sleep...yup that is about it. When we do something fun, or i hear of something interesting I will make sure to post it later.

A Wedding, a Funeral, and a Baptism

I got a call from an old friend about a month or so ago and she said, "I'm getting married!", I said " To who?" to which she replied "Ryan" and like an idiot I said "Ryan who?"

She was talking about Mr. Ryan Widdison, crazy surfer Ryan Widdison that has had a MAJOR crush on Jenna since he and Devin walked us home from chem lab on the first day of college. The same Ryan Widdison that Jenna swore up and down that she would NEVER date. Naturally I almost dropped the phone and peed my pants laughing. I decided that I would have to come to this unlikely union of two adored friends. And so began my journey back to Idaho.

THE WEDDING
It was beautiful and I got to see some friends that I had not seen in a very long time. I wish you both the best in life and love.

THE FUNERAL
We had an unexpected loss the week that I was in Idaho. April died. The funeral was amazing. Christina sang like the little angel she is, with April's daughter Ashlyn. I bawled through the entire thing. All of my heart goes to her family and I swear that if Shaun makes me fulfill the promise from ninth grade anytime soon I will bring him back just so that I can kill him myself.

THE BAPTISM

We dropped Mary and Dianne off at EFY and on the way home we stopped by Monica's house. My mom had never been there and when we pulled into the driveway we see a little girl with wild crazy curly hair, a yellow swimsuit (bum hanging out), and white sandals jumping up and down on the roof of the car already parked there. My mom looked at me with the "are you sure we are at the right place?" look and I just smiled and nodded. While we were there Grace punched my mom in the face, Mary kicked her, and all I got was the traditional mauling. We found out that Clip was getting baptised the following Monday and we agreed to come back for some more bruises.

Brent's parent's and some other relatives came to the baptism in Utah. It was fun to see them all, but I have to admit that my favorite part was the snowcones! I love them, it's an addiction, I can't help it. Mary, Dianne and my Mom were my posse for the day. We had a blast and met some really nice people (mostly kids under the age of 8). Apparently Mary, Dianne and I all look like toys. We were jumped on squeezed to death (Allie) and pulled around by some of the cutest kids I have ever seen.

I Know I Will Eat This Later

I have a tendency to speak or write almost exactly what I am thinking. With that comes the talent of being able to regrettably eat them later on. Tonight is a special occasion because I know that I will have to shovel this in my mouth later on this week, but I am bored, home alone, and no one wants to go to Wal-Mart with me.
I miss my friends! -- There I said it.
Not that I don't have friends here, but I miss everything about a real solid friendship. You know, like the one where you can say absolutely whatever you want at any given time and not worry that they are going to be mortally offended and never talk to you again. Or the friend that no matter what they are doing they will drop everything to do something with you. Apparently there is an amazing friend quota and mine has already been filled for my lifetime because not matter how nice, thoughtful, or genuinely willing to do anything I am, I hardly ever get that reciprocated. It sucks and has left me feeling slightly defeated. Currently I am thinking that I might take on another tactic. Since being nice and making genuine friends is not working for me I say to hell with it all. I can just read books, do my job and live like a hermit.
So while I am taking monstrous bites of my words, comments and phrases this week (while doing damage control) I am going to finalize my plans and make Hurley my new BFF! At least he loves me :)

Retraction

Apparently my previous post was circulated by an unknown source to those that I work with, and apparently they were offended. My blog is just that, MY BLOG. It is a place where I can put my thoughts down and constructively get "rid" of frustrations that I have in my life. If you have recently been one of my many "frustrations" I apologize for speaking my mind.
Just for a little clarity, I do not hate my job or any of the people that I work with. In fact, I enjoy what I do, but like everyone else in this world I have my moments and days that I wished that things were a little different. As for the toilet, it has recently been cleaned. Thank you.
In light of this recent even that has labeled me as something that I am obviously not, and the fact that my personal thoughts are making others uncomfortable I will be going PRIVATE within the next few weeks. If you would like to still read my little sarcastic rants, please leave your e-mail as a comment so that I can add you.

I MISS MY HOUSE! (sigh)

So I have decided that the fact that I have a house that I can call my own means absolutely NOTHING to me anymore. I own a home, furniture, and cute little things that fill my house, but do I currently reside in my adorable home? NO. I could cry. I went from color and happiness to beige and depressing. I miss my bed, my kitchen, my desk, couches, but mostly I miss my little TV. I never realized how much joy you bring into my life, i heart you television. In the absence of my tv I have read 7 books, SEVEN!, all of which were well over 300 pgs. I really miss just sitting down and getting sucked into Jon & Kate plus 8 (they are all so stinking cute!) or good old Grey's Anatomy. Those were the good old days!

I miss you bed, I will be home soon!

The green on my blog (yes I realize that it does not match) is dedicated to my B-E-A utiful kitchen!

Season Pass Baby!

We are in Louisville, KY for the summer and there is a Six Flags! A bunch of us got season passes to eight killer roller coasters, HUGE blue snowcones, a water park and endless headaches! I am so exicited I could pee myself! (Not really, I have excellent bladder control) Here are some of the pics that we took on our first of many outings!
Super Blake! and Beckie. I love that his shoes are glowing, it really doesn't get a whole lot more superer than that.

They have a huge gondola like ferris wheel that all six of us wanted to squeeze into, but the operator at the bottom decided that for safety reasons we should all split up. she didn't want us to fall out the the sky and kill some peeps. We could have done some SERIOUS damage.

Don't ask cause I don't know~!

We love blue snowcone.

So does Heather!

But mostly Brent
This is the carosel (I am aware that I spelled that wrong) that Brent didn't want to go on and in retrospect I can see why, HeHe!

Dana Fix

Okay, so I realize that you are all Dana and Brent addicts and that I have neglected giving you your daily fix, I apologize. So here are a couple of pictures to hold you over until I can find some real time to blog.
This was taken in Phoenix for christmas. Isn't my family so freaking cute!
My niece Kenzie and I, we are trying to stay warm and keep our eardrums intact while the boys are out shooting.

I told you he was a ridiculously cute HOT DOG!

WoooWooo!
